Located adjacent to the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM), the Family Care Center (FCC) serves for children and families from the west and central Bronx, northern Manhattan and lower Westchester.
Serving an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse population, FCC offers family-care-centered services in:
- Pediatrics
- Adult medicine
- OB-GYN
- A variety of adult subspecialties
If your child needs additional care from a subspecialist, your doctor at FCC will refer you to one right next door at CHAM. The FCC also has nutritionists, social workers and a pediatric nurse practitioner on staff. In addition to general pediatrics, our DCC physicians have qualifications in:
Pediatric Infectious Disease and HIV Disease
- Board-certified pediatric infectious disease physician specializing in HIV disease on staff
- Confidential HIV testing and counseling
Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
- Board certified developmental pediatrician
- Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delay and other conditions
Adolescent Medicine and Teen Parenting Program
- Jointly run by Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics with fellows from the Division of Adolescent Medicine of CHAM

Children With Chronic Illness
