We kicked off Child Life Month on March 3rd with Rainbow day bringing bright smiles, music, popcorn and smoothies to the units and distributing flyers to raise awareness of child life services.

We continued to celebrate on March 16 with Child Life Day in the CHAM lobby. It included booths for learning about how we use incentive programs, child directed play and games, medical play for teaching, coping strategies and we had child life jeopardy where staff got to show how well they know the child life team and services at CHAM! Children and adults got free give aways and prizes! Ice cream sundaes were served and spontaneous dance parties broke out while music played!

We finished up Child Life Month with Super Hero Day on March 31! We know all healthcare workers are super heroes so we celebrated our collaborations visiting all units for popcorn and smoothies to the delight of staff who enjoy a quick break in their busy days!
