Transplant Infectious Disease Clinic

At CHAM, we provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for children who have received a stem cell or solid organ transplant or who are undergoing evaluation for possible transplantation. Children who receive transplants are at greater risk for infectious complications and have specialized vaccination needs. Our infectious disease physicians have extensive expertise in the prevention and management of infectious complications in pediatric transplant patients and coordinate care with other members of your child’s transplant team, including oncologists, surgeons, nutritionists, and social workers, to avoid multiple office visits.  The transplant infectious disease clinic is also family-based, so that family members of transplant patients may receive necessary vaccinations, including influenza vaccination (flu shot).
