The Child Neurology Residency Training Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a 5-year categorical program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). It comprises two years of pediatrics training at CHAM followed by three years of neurology training. Residents undergo instruction in clinical neurology from fellows and faculty at Montefiore Einstein and CHAM and receive extensive subspecialty exposure, including a variety of electives. In addition, residents are required to complete original scholarly research and participate in weekly didactics and clinical rounds.
Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers two categorical positions in Child Neurology per year. There is a single application to the categorical program and applications must come through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). We are the university program for Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Saul R. Korey Department of Neurology.
Our program is listed as the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/University Program, 1853521002.
In rare instances, residents may be invited to join the Child Neurology Program after completing the mandatory pediatrics preliminary requirements (2-3 years) at another ACGME-accredited institution. To inquire about the availability of child neurology training after completing pediatrics, please reach out directly to the Program Coordinator and/or Program Directors below.
Once your completed application has been reviewed, you may be contacted through Thalamus to arrange a virtual visit, including interviews with our faculty, a review of our program and an opportunity to meet with our residents. Interviews are conducted on selected Wednesdays and Thursdays from November through January. Applicants are invited to a virtual social with our current house staff on the Wednesday evening of their interview week.
