The Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide expert care in the diagnosis and management of children with all forms of heart failure, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of primary cardiomyopathies and end-stage congenital heart disease. This combined knowledge and expertise allows us to provide comprehensive care to even the most complex of patients. The team includes pediatric cardiologists that specialize in heart failure and electrophysiology, as well as cardiac surgeons and specialists in genetics, neurology, infectious disease, psychosocial health, nursing and child life. Jacqueline M. Lamour, MD, and Daphne T. Hsu, MD, are national recognized leaders in the field of heart failure. They participated in writing the consensus statement for the management of pediatric heart failure and participated in the only randomized, double-blinded, multicenter drug trial in pediatric heart failure. CHAM is also a member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)–funded Pediatric Cardiomyopathy Registry and the NIH-funded Clinical Trials on Organ Transplantation.
