Multidisciplinary Care for Children with Specialized Needs
Many of the children we treat have complex conditions which benefit from collaborative care from a multidisciplinary team.
Our Function Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic for complex neurologic disorders, treating conditions that cause functional impairment and require coordinated care. The Function team provides coordinated treatment plans and interventions that minimize or eliminate a disability’s impact on an individual’s daily function.
The team includes pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery, pediatric urology, and pediatric rehabilitation medicine. By providing collaborative care under one roof, the specialists can evaluate an individual’s condition and then discuss treatment options in a group setting on the same day as the evaluation, resulting in a coordinated treatment plan.

TIGER Clinic
At the Total Integrated Genitourinary, Endocrine, Reproductive (TIGER) clinic, specialists collaborate to manage treatment of children with ambiguous genitalia and other differences of sex development. The clinic assists children and their parents in navigating the process of evaluation and treatment, and physicians coordinate care with the patient’s primary physician or specialist.
Patients are seen by a multidisciplinary team, including pediatric endocrinology, pediatric genetics, and pediatric urology. Services include genetic testing and counseling, laboratory testing and imaging, hormonal therapy, surgical reconstruction and psychosocial support. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our patients and their families. We make every effort to connect patients and family members with peer support groups – while each patient’s circumstances are unique, they should always feel supported.
