Multidisciplinary Care for Children with Specialized Needs
Many of the children we treat have complex conditions which benefit from collaborative care from a multidisciplinary team.
Our Function Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic for complex neurologic disorders, treating conditions that cause functional impairment and require coordinated care. The Function team provides coordinated treatment plans and interventions that minimize or eliminate a disability’s impact on an individual’s daily function.
The team includes pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery, pediatric urology, and pediatric rehabilitation medicine. By providing collaborative care under one roof, the specialists can evaluate an individual’s condition and then discuss treatment options in a group setting on the same day as the evaluation, resulting in a coordinated treatment plan.
