Genetic disorders are rare, as are doctors well versed in treating complex inherited diseases. Our Division of Genetics is one of the best in the region, and we’ve successfully diagnosed and treated thousands of patients with complex, rare and inherited conditions.

We also offer consultation and short-term management of behavioral disorders at the Hutchinson Metro Center.

The Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is one of the largest centers of its kind, providing clinical services for infants, children, and even adults with developmental disabilities. Operating since 1956, CERC offers its signature interdisciplinary approach to patients across the metropolitan area.

Each year CERC provides more than 58,000 diagnostic, therapeutic and related services to about 8,000 children and their families. CERC programs are based in the Rose F. Kennedy University Center and in the Rousso Building on the campus of Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Rose F. Kennedy Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND)

The Rose F. Kennedy Center is home to one of the 60 Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) programs throughout the country. The RFK LEND, with its partners, has a 60-year history as a leader in professional and family training and care for children/youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities and related disabilities across the region. It is an interprofessional leadership training program federally funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration's Maternal and Child Health Bureau and the Autism CARES Act, and it is based at the RFK Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (RFK CERC) of the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein.
