The Alexandra Lewis Scholarship Fund
The Alexandra Lewis Scholarship Fund was started by the generosity of the Lewis family to help families who do not have the resources to travel to the Tri-State Rett Syndrome Center at Montefiore Medical Center.
The Lewis family recognized that some families may be limited financially or geographically, and have started an annual fund for patients that meet criteria to travel to the Center.
The fund will pay up to $1,000 for airfare for the patient and one family member (automobile reimbursement if within driving distance), one-night accommodation, transportation to/from airport and transportation to/from hotel.

Give to the Rett Syndrome Center
The Center for Rett Syndrome is the only one in the tri-state area of its kind, born out of the optimism brought by the scientific proof that even severe symptoms can be reversed. In order to maintain our mission, the Rett Syndrome Center at Montefiore depends heavily on support from altruistic companies and individuals.
The generosity of patients, families and friends enables us to develop and maintain programs, classes, research and educational symposia that contribute to disease understanding and management and to overall quality of life. Your support will make your name synonymous with all the aspects that make the Center an extraordinary source of support and hope for children and adults with Rett syndrome, regardless of their insurance status, location and language they speak.
Please consider supporting our Center. You can get started today by donating in a number of ways:
- Direct one-time donation
