Personal Biography
Rebecca Polchinski, DO, FAAP, is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Polchinski’s clinical interests include the early identification of autism and the presentation of autism symptoms among females.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from Tulane University in 2014, Dr. Polchinski earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. She completed her pediatric residency at Stony Brook University in 2022, followed by a fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein in 2025.
Dr. Polchinski’s research focuses on the relationship between anxiety symptoms and masking or ‘camouflaging’ among teens diagnosed with autism. She has presented her work through abstracts at national and international meetings and online publications.
Dr. Polchinski is board certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
