Personal Biography
Natasha Nayak, MD, MPH, FAAP, is Director, Pediatric Emergency Department Quality Improvement at Children's Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Nayak’s clinical focus is in quality improvement, adolescent emergency care and mental health, eating disorders, and emergency critical care and resuscitation with a focus on team dynamics.
In 2008, Dr. Nayak completed her Bachelor of Science at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York. She went on to attend Albany Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2010, then began her postgraduate training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Jacobi Medical Center, completing her residency in 2013, taking on the role of Chief Resident in 2014. After a career in general pediatrics, Dr. Nayak later pursued her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, completing it in 2021.
Dr. Nayak’s research focuses on adolescent emergency care and mental health and eating disorders. She has shared her work through abstracts, invited lectures and workshops.
Dr. Nayak is a board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section on Emergency Medicine. In 2013, she was recognized for “Excellence in Medical Student Teaching” by the Lewis M. Fraad Department of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Jacobi Medical Center.
