Personal Biography
Michelle Pintea, MD, MPH, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus centers on pediatric emergency medicine.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biology from Boston College, Dr. Pintea earned her Doctor of Medicine at Trinity School of Medicine and her Master of Public Health in environmental & occupational health science at the City University of New York Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. She completed her pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/Case Western Reserve University, followed by a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital/Washington University.
Dr. Pintea’s research focuses on pediatric disaster preparedness. She has shared her work through numerous peer-reviewed publications, poster presentations and invited and oral presentations.
Dr. Pintea is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). In 2023, Dr. Pintea won the Best Project Award from AAP’s Section on Emergency Medicine Pediatric Readiness Subcommittee at the Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting.
