Personal Biography
Jonathan M. Gabbay, MD, is an attending physician in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Instructor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Gabbay’s clinical focus is on pediatric ambulatory care-sensitive conditions, particularly asthma, as well as the care for children with medical complexity.
Dr. Gabbay earned his Doctor of Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2020. He then completed his pediatric residency in 2023 in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, in the Leader in Equity and Advocacy (LEAD) track. He has been awarded multiple teaching awards from Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Gabbay’s research focus is on pediatric chronic conditions, particularly asthma. His work focuses on developing interventions aimed at reducing disparities for socially-mediated outcomes and resource utilization with the use of supervised machine learning. He also has a focus on housing instability and works to bridge health system and community-based organization partnerships. Dr. Gabbay’s work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including JAMA Pediatrics.
Dr. Gabbay is board certified in General Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
