Personal Biography
Jaya Isaac, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM) and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Isaac cares for children with hypertension and various types of kidney disease and has a particular interest in neonatal nephrology.
After earning her Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in 2017, Dr. Isaac completed her pediatrics residency at Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2021, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. Following this, she completed a pediatric nephrology fellowship at CHAM in 2024.
Dr. Isaac’s research focuses on kidney health outcomes in people who are born prematurely. She has given national and international invited presentations and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and review articles. She is also a reviewer for scientific journals, including Pediatric Research, Clinical Nephrology and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, among others.
Dr. Isaac is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) and the Neonatal Kidney Collaborative (NKC).
