Personal Biography
Curtis Choice, MD, is Director, Clinical Anesthesia and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Choice’s clinical focus is in ambulatory anesthesia and practice management.
In 1990, Dr. Choice received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He later attended the Medical College of Ohio, earning his Masters of Biomedical Sciences in 1998 and his Doctorate in Medicine in 2002. Dr. Choice then pursued postgraduate training, completing his transitional internship at Flushing Hospital in 2003, his anesthesiology residency at UMDNJ-University Hospital in 2006 and his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center – Washington, DC in 2007.
Dr. Choice’s research investigates neuromuscular blockade, COVID-19 practice management, ambulatory anesthesia, and implementation science. His work has been shared through peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, abstracts, poster presentations, workshops and other invited presentations. He has also served as a reviewer for Perioperative Care and Perioperative Management, the Journal of Clinical Anesthesia and the Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology.
Dr. Choice is board certified and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia and the Society for Perioperative Assessment and Quality Improvement, among others.
