Personal Biography
Caitlin Gilman, MD, MPH, is an Attending Physician at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, specializing in providing pediatric primary care. In addition to this, Dr. Gilman has interests in the prevention of obesity, diabetes, and other related complications through early development of healthy lifestyles. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
In 2008, Dr. Gilman received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and in Sociology and Anthropology at Lehigh University. Following this, in 2010, she received her Master of Public Health at New York University Steinhardt School. She then received her Doctor of Medicine in 2014 from the New York University School of Medicine. Once completing her studies, Dr. Gilman began her postgraduate training in 2014 with a residency in pediatrics at New York University Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital Center, ending in 2017.
Dr. Gilman’s research focuses on nutrition and the prevention and management of pediatric obesity and diabetes. Her work on pediatric mental health has been published in a number of journals.
Dr. Gilman is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
