Personal Biography
Ariela Agress Rubin, MD, is an attending physician at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Agress has a clinical focus on the diagnosis and management of allergic asthma, food allergy, inborn errors of immunity and immune dysregulation.
In 2012, Dr. Agress received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Lander College for Women, Touro University. She then pursued her medical education at David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2017. She began her postgraduate training at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, completing her pediatrics internship and residency in 2020. She then came to Children’s Hospital at Montefiore to pursue her allergy and immunology fellowship, completing it in 2023.
Dr. Agress’ research focuses on the significance of immunoglobulin E (IgE) deficiency, improving access to food challenges for those with food allergies, and allergic asthma. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals and oral and poster presentations.
Dr. Agress is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Clinical Immunology Society, among others.
