Personal Biography
Liane Eng, MD, is Co-Director, Pediatric Thyroid Nodule Clinic at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Course Director, Pediatric Endocrinology Elective and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Eng’s clinical focus is on thyroid disease and thyroid cancer in the pediatric population.
In 2019, Dr. Eng completed her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at New York University College of Arts and Science. She pursued her medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2014. She started her postdoctoral training at NYU Langone Medical Center, with her residency in pediatrics from 2014 to 2017. She then came to Einstein, completing her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology in 2020.
Dr. Eng’s research focuses on advancing knowledge in the management of thyroid cancer and post-thyroid cancer treatment. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, review articles, abstracts and poster presentations.
Dr. Eng is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Endocrine Society and the Pediatric Endocrine Society. In 2019, Dr. Eng was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society for outstanding achievement in teaching medical students.
