Personal Biography
Lauren T. Roth, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on pediatric primary care, gender-affirming care and LGBTQ+ patient and family support.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and behavioral biology from Emory University in 2012, Dr. Roth earned her Doctor of Medicine at Einstein in 2016. She then completed her pediatrics residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in 2019.
Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Roth’s research focuses on LGBTQ+ health education, gender-affirming care, innovation in medical education, service-learning, social determinants of health and quality improvement in general pediatrics. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and she has given invited presentations nationally and internationally.
Dr. Roth is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of the Academic Pediatric Association and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. In 2015, Dr. Roth was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. In 2022, she received the Award for Innovation in Medical Student Education (AIMSE) from Einstein and was appointed as the inaugural Director of Einstein’s new Service-Learning Course.
