Personal Biography
Allison Taylor, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics, at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical interests focus on general pediatrics and lactation. Dr. Taylor is the Director of breastfeeding education for pediatric residents and provides lactation support to patients in The Family Care Center. She is also a strong advocate of early childhood literacy.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in 1983, Dr. Taylor earned her Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1988. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1991.
Dr. Taylor’s research centers on pediatric care, and her work has been shared through peer-reviewed publications and poster presentations.
Dr. Taylor is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is a member of the Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education. She is a member of the Leo M. Davidoff Society and has been listed in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors since 2016. Dr. Taylor is fluent in English and Spanish.
