Intra-abdominal Solid Tumor Program
The intra-abdominal solid tumor team at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) provides expert and multi-disciplinary care for children with:

  • Kidney tumors (including wilms tumor (nephroblastomatosis))
  • Liver tumors (including hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma)
  • Neuroblastoma (and other adrenal tumors including adrenal cortical carcinoma)
  • Germ cell tumors (including testicular and ovarian tumors)
  • Other rare tumors
  • Non-malignant conditions requiring chemotherapy including hemangiomas, Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, and many other conditions.
As a dedicated children’s hospital that is part of Montefiore Medical Center and the Montefiore Health System, CHAM facilitates access to a wide range of providers who offer expertise across all disciplines. In addition to pediatric oncologists and pediatric surgeons, team members include doctors and staff from:
  • radiology and nuclear medicine
  • radiation oncology
  • pediatric bone marrow transplantation
  • interventional radiology
  • pediatric subspecialists
Support staff are an integral part of our team approach in caring for your child and include oncology trained nurses, social workers, child life specialists, IMPACT specialists (link to page), physical and occupation therapists, and dieticians.
