Personal Biography
Ellis Rochelson, MD, is an attending physician at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and Assistant Professor at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Rochelson’s clinical expertise is in pediatric cardiology with a focus on electrophysiology. He has particular interests in catheter ablation of arrhythmias and implantation of permanent pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) in children.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, Dr. Rochelson attended Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2014. His postdoctoral training began with a three-year residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center. He then pursued a three-year fellowship in pediatric cardiology at CHAM, completing it in 2020. He continued to build on his training at Texas Children's Hospital, completing a pediatric cardiac electrophysiology fellowship in 2021.
Dr. Rochelson’s research interests include postoperative arrhythmia management, ablation of Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and supraventricular tachycardia, and innovative approaches to medical education. He has shared his research through poster presentations and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Rochelson is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is a member of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society (PACES). His dedication to educating medical students has earned him several accolades, including the Leo M. Davidoff Award for Outstanding Teaching of Medical Students.
